HELLO!! Okay so since i'm not working nw so i'm basically rotting at hm.. I had been spending most of my time watching Korean drama, Disney movie or crime and investigation drama ( real life homicide).. But i'm also jobless at a good timing cause i was able to spent more time with my family and friends..
16 Sep, Mon.. In the evening i went Bugis to meet 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th auntie, my mum and Wan yong for a short shopping trip.. The aunties are helping my 1st auntie to choose traditional outfit for Li Eng's jie jie, 1st auntie daughter, wedding.. After we ate our dinner, Wan Yong and i had a craving for Starbucks coffee.. It had been yrs since i last drank Starbucks coffee.. We went shopping on our own at Bugis street while the aunties went OG department store..
18 Sep, Wed.. It was my mum's 50th birthday that day so my family and i celebrated her BD at Northpoint, teppanyaki store.. Went hm to sing BD song and that is all..
19 Sep, Thur.. That day was lantern/mooncake festival so mama worked half day that day to come back to pray.. We had chicken, roasted meat and fish so we brought it over to my grandparent's hse cause Thurs is our usual visiting day or sth.. Ate alot alot of meat and chicken that day.. After eating, i still ate fruits, yam and mooncake..Extremely full yet satisfying..
22nd Sep, Sun.. There wasn't any dance practice that day again cause N.E.G need to practice for the up coming semi-final competition on 28 Sep, Sat.. Which means, i went Danspeople to learn the beg Hip Hop by Xiang Tian again.. The music that was used is the same as the previous week but i forgot the title when XT said it before the dance lesson... Too focus on the dance step so the phrase that i remembered that day for the song was " chewing on a cabbage".. The Choreo was a follow up of the previous week dance and the last dance move which is the newly improved cabbage patch was so difficult that 3/4 of the class could not get it right.. After that i went hm to search for the song but to no avail..
24 Sep, Tues.. That night i went online to book the Aloha Loyang Bangalow for my 21st BD Party.. 23 Nov, which is a Sat was fully book so i had no choice but to book on 24 Nov, Sun, which is on my actual birthday.. After booking, i started to plan the decoration and stuff .. The check in time will be 3pm so it will be abit rush cause the party will start at 6pm.. hehe.. i can't share what i'm doing and stuff cause it's a surprise but i hope i'm able to execute it..
28 Sep, Sat.. In the afternoon, i met Wan Yong at Orchard for a short shopping spree.. She wanted to find shoes to match her bridesmaid outfit.. We went Lucky plaza to eat lunch, then went Far east plaza and ION Orchard.. I bought a floral headband, a pair of flats and a sandal that day.. Ow and is my dress nice? It cost S$10 only!! =D..We left Orchard at 5pm then i took a train to Jurong, Jcube for the Teenage Kpop dance battle..
I took the above photo from Cher Hui's Instagram cause it didn't cross my mind to take photos of the event even though i stood there for so many hours.. Oppss =P.. The first battle was rookie battle which is 7-13 yrs old group, if i'm not wrong.. The main battle was the open category which is from age 13-22..OMG! It was freaking amazing ..Out of the 15 groups i think only 1 or 2 groups danced not really that good but it was still bearable to watch.. It was just so happening.. The emcee was really hilarious too... Ow and i saw Zac Morrison, my ITE classmate there.. He was going there to see and support Rickmond and cher Hui cause he was previously from SDO, ITE dance group...I really enjoyed myself there with all the shouting and cheering ,except for the standing part cause i had to stand throughout the whole competition and it ended later then 9pm.. 10 group will be able to advance to the final and N.E.G got in!! YAY!!!..
After that, to sort of celebrate we went marble slab for some ice-cream.. Those who went were Yen San, Wan Er, Jasmond, Joel, Jing Ting, JT's friend and me.. First time eating and i chose the wrong flavor . The red velvet cake flavor was weird~..ow i suddenly thought of one random thing.. There were handsome guys at the competition so one of my friend made a decision to take photo with them during the finals and asked me to join in.. Lol..Shuai ge! Argh!! Lets see if i will take photos with them 2 weeks later or not..While eating one of the judge came over to talk to us.. He actually asked for one of our phone num so next time he will contact us to do a flash mob or sth.. I had no idea who he was until Joel started to go crazy just because the judge touched his shoulder.. Apparently, he was some famous choreographer and he was under Scape.. Wan Er was telling me that he once asked them ( N.E.G, in another word "us" included) when they were practicing at Scape, whether we are interested to learn from him or not.. and the crowd went wild..hehe.. I forgot his name so i can't show you his dance video.. I'm really happy cause that night, after searching almost 2 weeks with no lead, i finally found the song that was used during the Beg hip hop lesson.. How i found it?
01:29/26:57 The voice of that person sound exactly like the one that was used for the choreo so after searching based on that name i found it.. It was The Fresh Prince of Bel Air Theme song by Will Smith.. lol.. YAY!! i'm a genius!! Ouh~~ " LA walk" and "chewing on a cabbage" was totally not part of the lyrics.. ~.~..
29 Sep, Sun.. There was dance practice that day.. Jasmond taught us some basic waacking move cause they don't have time to choreo a new song.. It was a combine practice again so after about an hour or so, it was N.E.G's turn to practice stunts for their finals.. Will upload their Semi-final video another day.. It was free and easy time for the rest so i used that time to teach Hong Lan the oschool dance, using the song that i found.. The timing was just so right i could not resist not teaching that choreography to someone else..hahas.. Hong Lan also went to join Danzpeople open class but she joined the Kpop dance not Beg hip hop.. Sry for the long post.. Will try to update once a week.. Bye =D
